Introduction
- Behavior management helps increase socially significant behaviors and reduce problematic ones
- The program is developed using a natural, play-based approach to increase motivation and build the child’s success
- The objective of this therapy is to teach skills that will aide in child development & independence in daily life
- KiDA is a vendor of Regional Center of Orange County (RCOC) for under 3 & over 3 ABA services.
Functional Behavior Assessments
- A Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) is used to create a behavioral plan to support the child and family
- FBAs analyze maladaptive behaviors through parent interviews, observations, and experimental analysis
- These assessments are available to all age groups and are conducted by a licensed BCBA.
Under 3 Program
Kids at KiDA: Early Intervention
- KiDA’s program for kids under age 3 focuses on building language, pre-academic, play, social, and self-help skills
- The program is developed using assessments such as the DAYC and Vineland as well as goals from the IFSP
- Supervision is done by a master-level supervisor to analyze data and develop the child’s program
- Parent participation is encouraged to promote consistency
- Consultation and shadowing services are also available
3 & Over Program
KiDA at Home: Behavior Support
- KiDA’s program for kids ages 3 and over focuses on communication, independent living, social, and self-help skills while reducing maladaptive behaviors
- Goals are based on a functional behavior assessment
- Sessions occur in the home and community and involve 1:1 instruction as well as parent education
- Supervision is done by a master-level supervisor to analyze data and develop child’s program
