Kristin Coates

Kristin Coates earned her Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from Cal State Fullerton in 2009. During her time at CSUF, Kristin was a student researcher for the Fullerton Longitudinal Study, where she developed an interest in student motivation. She has always been passionate about helping children and adults with special needs, including involvement with Best Buddies and Project Independence. Kristin joined KiDA in 2009 as an administrative assistant. Today, Kristin enjoys communicating with families and parents, as well as planning events and developing KiDA’s programs as the Manager of Administration.

Chelsea Turner

Chelsea Turner earned her Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from the University of California Irvine in 2010. While attending UCI, Chelsea interned at the Child Development Center School, where she worked with children diagnosed with autism and ADHD. It was here that she realized her passion for helping families of children with special needs. Chelsea joined KiDA in 2012 as an administrative assistant, where she enjoys working with children and families while providing KiDA with administrative support.

Ashley McAdams

Ashley is a doctoral candidate in Education with an emphasis in School Psychology at Chapman University. Currently she is in the process of defending her thesis and will be receiving her M.A. in Educational Psychology from California State University, Long Beach in the summer of 2012. She will continue to pursue her School Psychology Pupil Personnel Services Credential. She earned her Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from California State University, Long Beach in 2008. Ashley has experience working with children with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disorders for the past 5 years. She has worked in the clinical, home, and school settings with students from ages 2-18 years old. Her clinical and school-based experience has involved the use of a three tiered model to identify students with special needs, administering achievement and cognitive assessments, and consulting and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team as well as parents to develop goals and evidence based interventions that best serve the need of the student. Ashley’s current role at KiDA involves research and human resources activities.
