Brianna Shaffer, MT-BC
Brianna completed her Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy at Chapman University’s Conservatory of Music. During her intensive internship at MusicWorx Inc, she worked in settings with children diagnosed with autism at MTCCA, at Scripps La Jolla hospital, Radys Children’s hospital, and Glenbrook Hospice. While working in Cincinnati, Ohio, Brianna enjoyed her time implementing individual and group music therapy for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In April 2011, Brianna was awarded the Innovative Award from Ohio Choices due to her ability to “build innovative relationships and supportive networks for youth with emotional or behavioral disabilities and their families.” Brianna is an active member of the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA) and the Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT).
